Fulfilling weekend at Wheeler's Yard Cafe and Trick Eye Museum Singapore!

This was probably one of the most 'tiring' but yet very very fulfilling weekend that Mich and I had^^ Mou (aka Omupie) and I planned for our duty off to be on the same day heehee~ so that we can go on a double date! =)

Our very first destination: Wheeler's Yard!

I love the interior design for its rustic feel to it. It is a pretty nice place to chill out as it is really spacious and they serve quite a huge variety of beer for groups of friends to drink and hangout.

I love this bike! Love the colour and the vintage vibe to it after the makeover^^

The outdoor area is very very spacious but can get a little warm though.

It's kinda cosy ya? even though it may seem kinda messy at first, with bicycles, helmets and accessories laid out everywhere, but after awhile everything just seems so cosy. It makes you feel like you can just 'nua' or sit anywhere, anyhow you like so long as you are comfortable =)

more and more bikes ... well... its Wheeler's Yard after all..

You are expected to place your own orders at the counter and afterwhich you will be given a token that vibrates once your orders are ready for collection. I think its pretty cool to be working at Wheeler's Yard because everything just seems so 'easy-going' (can't think of a better word to use lolx).

I hafta be honest that the food at Wheeler's Yard isn't very fantastic, they are pretty expensive but taste pretty normal... However, if you plan just to chill here and have some snacks/finger food with your friends, then i would really highly recommend the Truffle Fries served at Wheeler's Yard. These fries are pretty darn good^^

Wifey ordered Spaghetti Bolognese which is really normal.... Although the minced beef is pretty fresh and good quality, the Bolognese sauce made the dish pretty mediocre if you ask me.

The Fish & Chips.... very very normal.. very very dry.... not recommended at all~

And off we go~! To the Trick Eye Museum Singapore @Sentosa! Woooooohooooo! (i have about 800 photos taken at Trick Eye Museum ** okay.. i am exaggerating a little, but yes.... i have a ton of photos taken over there, so i will only be selecting a few of my personal favorites to be shown here^^).

We were still 'warming up' for the first few shots haha. There are a lot of people there due to the June Holidays.. so it was super packed and everything is just trying to get a shot at every exhibit.. that's why at first we were in quite a mad rush, but things got better after that and we managed to get a hang of how we were supposed to pose and the angles that we were supposed to shoot at =)

This is a really scary shot hahaha poor Alsa.... her parents literally balanced her head in between the boobs of the mannequin for the shot to happen~

Love this cute little optical illusion haha~ But this scenario.. seems like a real life scenario.. where the wifes usually triumphs over their husbands =X

The Best Buffet EVER! Todai Singapore!

If you love buffets and you think you already had the best buffet you ever had, well... you haven't! Not until you have tried Todai!

Its located at Marina Bay Sands and yes, it ain't cheap. Over the weekends it would cost you approximately $64++ per adult, BUT~ personally, it was worth every dollar and cent! The spread and the quality of the food is FANTASTIC!

I was so lost when i arrived at Todai! It totally looked and felt like a mega huge food court with tons of varieties!

How can you NOT start with fresh OYSTERS! Woooooooo~!!!

It may not seem a lot on this picture, but its because they keep topping up as and when required, instead of throwing all the oysters out there at one go, to prevent its ultimate freshness!

Usually at most buffets, you will notice that the chef would just display as much Sashimi as possible, but at Todai, just like the Oysters, they will only top up as and when required to ensure the freshness of all their raw food!

I'm not sure if you would have noticed this, but as i am a Japanese food/sushi/sashimi lover~ I would always go for their Sashimi and Sushi, even at Buffets.

Even though i know that its quite stupid to eat so much rice at Buffets, because that would mean that i would be full a lot faster.

But check out the Sushi at Todai!

They only pull this little amount of rice! and it's not because they are stingy over rice~~ *common, rice??* But it is so that you can eat more of the other great food there!

Its always the little details that shows one's sincerity^^





If every movie there is always a hero, then for every Buffet there will always be a main attraction/hero...

It has to be Todai's KING CRAB! OMG! LOVELY!

Check out the size of the Crab Legs! OMG! And it's SUPER SWEETTTTTTTTTT~~~~^^

I honestly don't understand how Todai would be able to survive lolxxx by being so so so generous on their Buffet spread! But omg.. its dam bloody awesome!

If you love fried food like me, then their tempura section is NOT GONNA DISAPPOINT YOU!

Was there a fried item that i didn't like?... hmmm....... hmm...... NO! It was all fried to perfection! Wifey don't usually eat a lot of calamari/squid rings because most of the time they tend to be 'unbreakable'. But the calamaris over... perfect~ Love them to bits!

I particularly was kinda intrigued by this noodle station lolx. Make your own Soba! heee~~ nonetheless, its DAM NICE!

If you love Korean Food, then this will not disappoint you at all. They have an authentic Korean Chef on station whipping up Korean Pancakes and Gyozas that taste absolutely delicious!

Love Kimchi? Take your pick! =)

If you have been to Korea before, then this would not be alien to you.

In this pot of loveliness, you have assorted Korean Fishcake where you can just pick what you want and even have a go at the soup!

Every Buffet will have a Western Grill section, that usually serves sausages, beef, turkey etc. But at Todai~ You have Corn, Mushrooms and..... Pineapple! Yes, Grilled Pineapple! And it is simply delicious! you have to try it!

Even their Pan Fried Pizzas.... i kinda feel that they taste better than Pizza Hut!

There's probably 30% more stuff that i've not showcased on my blog... because it is simply too MUCH! But... now...

To the desserts!

After looking through at my blog post again... i'm hungry.... zzzzzZzz.. .and it's late at night.... omg..

I'm very very very sure that i will revisit Todai^^ and for all those who love crab, especially King Crab, you have got to try their buffet!

Omupie's Baby Shower!

Time really really flies!

I still can vividly recall the day when Mou (aka Omupie) told me that his wife was expecting and that she just completed her first trimester. And now, i am attending (in fact its have attended) his beautiful baby daughter's baby shower!

I guess Baby Showers are very nice, family and friends all gather around to give your little bundle of joy the blessing that he/she deserves. But it is very taxing for the baby! Imagine if you are the baby and wanted to sleep, but everyone just needs carrying you around, tickling you, touching your cheeks etc. zzzzzz you would probably punch them if you could, as a baby, LoLxxx.

Totally love these photos cause she's just so adoring. Baby Alsa has started to look inquisitive, in the sense that she seems to be very curious of her surroundings and love looking around^^
