The show is pretty awesome! A lot more action as compared to the first Captain America movie, although it was kinda disappointing that the Black Widow didn't really have a lot of scenes. This time round though, they introduced Falcon! Although it isn't really like the comic books where he does have some 'powers' other than flying, the flying scenes were pretty darn cool as well!The Platinum Suite at Cathay was not bad. The service was good, the theatre was spacious and most importantly feels very clean! Imagine them giving you a blanket and it feels dirty -.-~ Luckily that wasn't the case for us yesterday.
We didn't eat anything though.. because i was on diet and need to take my BMI measurement the day after.. so we only had Latte (without sugar) and Iced Tea (yep~ my wife again).
Overall, it was a great experience for us BUT with 2 issues...
Firstly, the air conditioner was apparently turned off towards the end of the movie. While it did not affect us at all, it actually caused the projector's lens to become foggy! And that made the last 20mins of our show blurry!
The supervision compensated us with 2 free movie tickets (NORMAL Cathay Cinema, NOT Platinum) and 2 x $25 dinner voucher for F&B purchase at the Platinum Lounge. It kinda meant that they are forcing us to buy another Platinum ticket so that we can utilise the dinning voucher???
A Lady actually argued with the supervisor though, that she demands a compensation with another Platinum movie ticket and not the normal ones. Analogy from her: "If you buy a meal at Macdonalds and they want to refund you for whatever reason, will they give you a voucher to dine at the nearest kopitiam?!?! They have to refund you the same thing what!". It kinda makes sense~ but because she was causing quite a stir, we decided not to linger in the area and support her haha. We made peace with our free movie tickets and dinning vouchers.
Lastly..... The stupid Jurong East Mall management obviously knows that there is a cinema in their building that offers late night movies.. They turned off all the lifts and those were the only viable way to the Carpark! no brain....
Luckily... after scouting the whole place, we managed to find a fireman lift, used by construction workers, to get to the Carpark...
At least the movie didn't disappoint. At luckily it all happened towards the end of the show if not... zzzzzz
Damn... have to report to work already... Wifey made me a healthy brekkie today! Chicken Breast, Broccoli and Baby Carrots^^ (aiming for 6 packs =X... if only it is as easy as watching Captain America). Thanks Wifey for getting up so early to fix me brunch, lunch and dinner all in one =X
