同副聚: Sze Chuan Grilled Fish! @50 Boat Quay

On Saturday, both Mich and i were in for a treat! Jessie and Ah Kang brought the both of us to Boat Quay to try out the Sze Chuan Grilled Fish from a restaurant called "同副聚".

And yes... it has became a standard practice for all avid Bloggers, Instagram-ers, Facebook-ers etc. etc. to take selfies before they carry on with their activities LoLxx. Don't my wifey just look beautiful~ =) i am starting to improve on my patience in waiting for her to get herself all dolled up and ready, because i have came to a realisation that she does all these to not only make herself look good, but make me look good too^^

And this is the chinese restaurant that i was talking about~

While the food is pretty expensive, they don't disappoint at all! You hafta try the Hot & Spicy Sea Bass!! Its dammmm nice~ There are 3 levels of spiciness. We took level 1 and it was just nice for us =) Spicy enthusiasts can try level 3! but... eat with caution =X

The interior is kinda retro, oriental style, quite nice =)

I would recommend you to try this dish, 辣子鸡 aka. Spicy Chicken. Its really tasty and would certainly go well with a bowl of rice!

The next dish we tried is in fact a dessert. A corn dish (forgot the name) that was recommended by another blogger. This dish however, was not up to our expectations. It looks nice and fragrant, but its kinda bland.. i was expected it to be sweeter (it being a dessert) and perhaps with some kinda buttery flavour to it.. but nope it didn't.. it was bland..

The main highlight for the day! Our Hot and Spicy Sea Bass!!!!! Woooottt~ This dish is GREAT! The fish is really fresh! eventhough you may argue that the spiciness would have eclipsed the freshness of the fish, you are wrong. The meat of the fish is so so sweet~ Love it~ You can add other side-dishes to this "hotpot" as well! We added black fungus, mushrooms, rice cake and beancurd skin.

Even though its a 麻辣 (which means spicily numb) soup base, i was so surprised that the soup base is actually damn pretty tasty! *please try not to drink the layer of oil on top of the soup =X *

All in all, i give this place a 4 / 5 star! (hahahaha acting like Shu An from Tried and Tested @Clicknetwork TV). Because the food is really pretty good just that it is kinda pricey. Oh well... a restaurant situated at Boat Quay.. you can't be expecting it to be cheap eh~ =X
