Hokkaido, Japan here we come part 2!

Time to sit down and continue blogging about our fantastic experience at Hokkaido, Japan! In case you are wondering, we toured both Asahikawa and Sapporo during our stay at Hokkaido. I am not sure about you, but in my opinion, unless you plan to rent a car and travel in Hokkaido free and easy, it is best to actually join a tour. This is because Hokkaido do not exactly have a very robust public transport system, which would make travelling pretty difficult.

Check out the lovely snow! It feels so great to start the day with such a nice scenery =) In fact we were very blessed to avoid heavy showers/snow throughout our tour!

We just had to alight at this place to take an awesome family photo!

This is my first time seeing actual snow! And it is soooooo pretty, this is the famous Otaru Canal! *Although the coldness nearly killed me T_T~*

Wifey and her youngest sister taking a photo with the snow as the background. Can you see how high the snow has piled up to? it's quite crazy just thinking about it, and how those workers pave the roads everyday for vehicles to drive safely.

Everything in Japan is just so pretty!

It is only 2.8 degrees celsius and we are freezing like crazy! The winds are really really strong! Wearing a beanie makes me look like a retard but at this point in time, keeping my head, ears and neck warm was my priority..

Ben became a ninja LoLx~!

Hohoho~ it's time to eat! And this time we are having SEAFOOD! =X

Gigantic Clams! I think wifey eat one = full already lolx.

Yep, and he is the one that we've decided on, for our dinner today! This is a product of Hokkaido, Japan. It is a snow winter crab that is seasonal, only available during winter!

Obviously you will be able to tell that my smile is fake one LoLX, I was quite worried that the crab may attack me because so many people have been picking him up and taking photos haha.

Dinner is served! Everyone has their own pot of soup a slice of fish that is super easy to eat once you know the technique to removing the bones. All you need to do is to peel off the bone from the tail of the fish and just slowly pull the whole bone out from the fish! It would take some practice though haha, easier said than done.

Check this out! They actually used some parts of the crab to be served as sashimi! This is super duper delicious! Nothing in Singapore can be considered fresh once you compare them with those in Japan! I am not exaggerating, Food in Japan IS that good and fresh!

Here comes, our pot of 1000% happiness! Snow Crab hotpot.... =D`~~ Shit man.. i am starting to feel hungry all over again!

I realised that in Japan, the use of this "Rice Mix" is super popular! It literally changes the way your rice taste! For those who do not really like eating rice, your opinion on rice may change after trying this! It totally makes the rice taste much more savoury!

After our sumptuous meal, we were greet by super duper strong winds!

Even my Mother-in-law who isn't too afraid of the cold has geared up LoLx.

1 word..................................... Cold~

Doesn't this remind you of.......................... Naruto?! =X

We are now on our way to the Musical Box Museum and happily camwhoring along the whole journey as well! =)

Even in the middle of the road.... LoLX!

Stopping by for some cakes! YummmMMMmyyY!

Amongst all the cakes that we had, this Cheese cake from Le Tao is AMAZING! Perhaps the dairy products at Hokkaido is really that good, hence all food made from these dairy products taste so good! The Cheese Cakes at Le Tao, is simply mind blowing! Must try!

We are now at the Chocolate Factory! (I did not take any photos of the Musical Box Museum is because.. there isn't much about it actually lol) ^^

This is actually snow and not rain! We always thought that snow looks so romantic until we tried photographing it LoLx, it really just looks like rain..

Rudolf has came to pick up wifey and her 2 sisters!

Really loved this shot that i took for Cindy and Ben, got that travelling in time feel hahaha *pukes* =X

After camwhoring for so long .... i guess it is high time that we fill our stomachs!

If you google Sapporo Ramen, you will definitely be brought to a site that tells you about a very famous alley in Sapporo, and that is the Sapporo Ramen Alley - Sapporo Ramen Yokocho! Which apparently is also known as the birthplace of miso ramen!

Our tour guide brought us to this cozy little stall within Sapporo Ramen Yokocho, but I was too overwhelmed with the ramen that i forgot the name of the stall... so sorry... but essentially, this was the last stall in the Alley. The photos that you see later will make you understand why i was overwhelmed!

It has always been my dream to dine at one of this authentic Japanese ramen stalls!

This is a rather popular stall alright, as you can see all the signatures of well known people all over the shop!

LoL Ben looked away but i still decided to use this photo because i looked 'normal' in it, the others were like... omg... hahahha

What a nice way to recycle and repackage the very normal looking pepper shaker hahaHaha, feels so so so Japan! (Guys you know what i mean =X)

The main lead for the day, the oh-my-god-this-taste-like-heaven Ramen! The soup is SO SO SO DELICIOUS, the crab is SO SO SO FRESH!, the Char Siew is SO SO SO NICEEEEEE OMG! I've never tasted such a good ramen in my life! Absolute satisfaction!

Perhaps the secret to the sweetness in the soup broth, Japan's very own, very super fresh scallops! And this scallop is huge mind you!

If you have watched Japan Hour on TV before, i am sure you would definitely come across Japan's Gyoza! And i am sure if you went scouting for Gyoza in Singapore, you will definitely be disappointed because in Singapore, all the Gyoza are fried anyhow! The real authentic Japanese Gyoza is pan fried only on one side, so you get the slightly burnt and fried kinda taste as well as the delicious Gyoza skin that is soooooo thin and once you reach into the core of the Gyoza, OMG~ Heaven~ the filling is so dam F@#kin@ nice! sigh... i miss Japan so so much...

Time to rest up for our next Hokkaido adventure!

Dammit... I am so hungry right now after blogging... and it is like almost 3am liao~! siao liao....... don't think too much... just sleep T_T~

nitez!
