A Surprise from Wifey!!! =)

A lot of things happened today, Wifey actually planned a surprise celebration for me! Well.. i am about to have a promotion soon... which i do not think much about, therefore i was so surprised when my wife actually went through the trouble of helping me plan such an eventful Saturday!

We wanted to go to Rider's cafe for brekkie.. However... just like the last 2 attempts.. we failed to wake up again for Brekkie hahahahah =X

But still, Wifey suggested that we go to D.O.C. - Department of Caffeine to have brunch (i didn't know of the surprise that was installed for me^^).

Here we are~ and of course i will never leave home without my essentials =X

Wifey chio hor~ =X We definitely have to take some selfies as we wait for our food hahaha

And that's me, with our queue number. I realised that most cafes nowadays like to adopt the pay first eat later method. After ordering your meals, you will be giving a queue number like the one im holding~

Since they are called the Department of Caffeine, i definitely have to try their lattes! And yes, their Flat White is pretty awesome! Wifey had a glass of Elderflower Lemonade (its always either Ice lemon Tea, Tea, or this kinda drink when she's around haha).

Here comes the main event! D.O.C. Breakfaster Platter (the one on the top) and B.O.E. - aBit of Everything. Despite the cafe being called Department of Caffeine, their mains are pretty darn good as well!  Its really worthwhile to come all the way here for brunch!

Ice and Waffle lovers have gotta try this! Buttermilk Waffle with Butter Rum Bananas! Just the name itself sounds pretty awesome loLxx and the taste is definitely not disappointing! ^^ 5 stars for this, MUST TRY! D.O.C. is kinda small and cramp, and very packed on the weekends, reservations are not permitted on weekends.. so i highly recommend that you go earlier to "chop" seats. In fact, it was full house all the way ever since we set foot in there.

After all that indulgence, we proceeded to where my wife told me "we are going to another place to eat a 9 course meal"~~~ I was totalllyyyyyy StunnnnneeedddDddd..... Totallyy.....

Never the least expected that i will be in for a big big surprise by Wifey^^

As we were walking there... Wifey fell off a step! As she was walking so fast and kept her eyes on her handphone instead of the path ahead of her (she was checking where our next destination is).

I happened to wanna take a picture of her back view.. and ended up taking this instead LoLx~ And ya.. i laughed really hard....

until...

until......

until...........

We finally reached our next destination...

And this was the surprise Wifey had for me! A COUPLE SPA! OMG! soooo soooooo thoughtful of her right! =) I feel so guilty laughing at her when she fell just now....

*Sorry baby~~*

I had to 'secretly' snap photos.. so i couldn't pull out my DSLR for this =X

It was a 2.5hr session. We picked the Magic Citrus Package which promises a relaxing and detoxifying spa. We had a good body scrub and thereafter we were both wrapped up like a "po pia" with a hot towel. Totally sweat it out man~ Detox to the max!

After taking a shower to rinse off all the impurities we had a lovely 30mins dip in the Jacuzzi~~ wowooooo Lovee iiittt~~~ And last but not least, we ended off with a niceeeee Massage~ Omg.. Lovely... That's Life~ ^^

See how radiant the both of us looked after the spa treatment LoLXxx

Surprises just kept coming NON-STOP that day (thanks wifey again for making the effort and going through all the troubles to coordinate for them).

Wifey had already liaised with her family to prepare a BBQ for me! Could really feel the love from her family members towards me^^ They even went through the rain to buy all the ingredients and prep the BBQ Pit~ 1000 thanks isn't even enough to thank them for all their efforts..

I am really grateful for everything that my family and love ones has done for me. Especially my dear wifey who went through so so so much trouble to make it all happen for me. Even though i thought that my promotion isn't worth mentioning, she made it really special for me and made me feel significant and important.

Thank you darling~ come 1st Apr (ya.. my promotion is on April Fool's Day).. Lets continue to grow together as a loving couple and i promise i will do more to fulfil my part as a husband and a companion to you for as long as we grow old together.

I Love You Baby^^

Air ticket prices moves like the stock market!

OMFG... this is so bloody exasperating!

My wife and I were in the process of booking the air tickets for our Korea trip in June (yay!^^). After discussing with our friend on the 'best' flight timing and which airline to book (we used Skyscanner.com.sg to look for the best deals!), we proceeded with our individual bookings (our friend and us booked the tickets separately).

I contemplated a little bit as to which credit card should i use to purchase the ticket, because i wanted to get the most out of my credit card benefits. After deciding on which credit card to use... i clicked on the dreadful [COMPLETE BOOKING] button...

Guess what....

Seriously... $260 increase in price!

And the rub salt onto our wounds... my friend managed to book the air tickets at $1,442..... IT WAS JUST LIKE 3MINS DIFFERENCE!!!!!!

FML.........

Oh well........ sigh............... Wifey and I are feeling so cheated right now...

Nonetheless, we carried on with our booking because we don't want anymore SUDDEN increase in price~ ZZzzzz T_T

A day at East Coast Park~

Omupie (Mou and Yvonne) and us decided to act healthy for a day, and instead of indulging in good food, we decided to... go cycling at East Coast Park! And thanks to Mou's "good" recommendation, we decided to try the Quadcycle, a 4-seater bike, that is SUPER SHAG! O..M...G.....

But when we were there.. we couldn't fight against the urge to EAT.. so before the cycling, we went for some food at Old Town White Coffee^^

Wifey and me~ Hee^^

The infamous Omupie who kept bringing us to eat good food =D~~~

Iced Honey Lemon - Wheat Grass Drink - Ice Lemon Tea - Iced White Coffee

Unless you like the taste of grass.. else do not order the Wheat Grass Drink hahahah =X

Perhaps the #1 signature dish from Old Town White Coffee, Assam Laksa~ The standard seems to drop a little this time round though. The prawn paste just doesn't seem 'heavy' enough as compared to last time. But still okay lah`~

IMHO, the #2 signature dish of Old Town White Coffee, Curry Mee! I kinda always order this when i'm there haha. Loveee itttttttt~~~

Mou decided to try something else, and ordered the very very normal Wanton Mee~ LoLx.. it is normal alright hahahaha

My wife totally love their Garlic Bread! Soft on the inside and crispy at the edges. The Garlic-ky taste is fantastic tooooooooo!

Finally stopped eating and begin our adventure on the Quadcycle!!! Wooohooooo!!!

..... this enthusiasm was short lived in like.. 5mins? Once we realised how HARD it was to bloody peddle the Quadcycle! wtf.....

The only only only only photo we took on the Quadcycle was..

... yep... thats it...

Too shag from cycling .. really didn't bother to take anymore photos cause we all look like crap afterwards.. -__-|||

Probably the best thing we had during the cycling trip.. Coconut ice-cream!!! =)

Its really quite good haha. Love the Gula Melaka^^

It doesn't quench thirst at all lah, but it helps to make us feel better under the scorching blaze of the sun!

$3 only~ for a real half-coconut with 2 scoops of ice-cream with Gula Melaka, Those kinda rainbow toppings and Atap Seed^^

After the shag shag cycling, we had to take a good look at the view and breath in ALOT of fresh air~ Lungs were like shrinking after all that work-out~

Pretty hor~ =)

Hmmm.... Where's Mou-ly?

After all that cycling, we still decided to take a short walk at Henderson Wave, my camera battery was already blinking so we had to quickly take some shots before it dies.

Love this shot hahahahahahahahahahhaah Pregnant Couple~ =X

This post was by popular demand from Yvonne.....

Ending the post with an 'artistic' image LoLx`~~ Trying to act Artsy Fartsy~

Nonetheless it was a great day and we all ate great food and 'kinda' worked out! =)

Cafe Indulgence~ Tiramisu Hero!

I've received lots of feedback that i write too much... too little pictures LoLxxxx. Ahem Ahem Ahem~ Let me try to use my photos to do the talking/writing~ hopefully it does at least tell a few words haha^^

This time round, we went to Tiramisu Hero! Thanks to Yvonne and Mou (aka. Omupie) who brought us there heeee~

If you like to chitchat with friends at a cozy and conducive environment, then Tiramisu Hero is the place for you! The food is great, the place is comfortable, and the service there is pretty decent too!

In the midst of munching through our food, i forgot to take a photo of my wife's Aglio Olio~!! You should try that too!

Ok... enough writing...

I love this kinda woody woody furnitures~ It just makes the whole ambience a lot more cosy! And yep~! That's us! the Cafe hopping team! =X

Vanilla Latte, Mojito Iced Tea, Iced Honey Milk and Milo 999

Chamomile Tea (its normal Lipton tea, but helped us digest our food lol)

Oh ya, i hafta mention that you will order at the counter and pay for your food first before being served. Thereafter, the cashier will pass you a table number like the one above~ Pretty cute eh~ =)

MUST TRY!! Chunky Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread! It is... absolutely... heavenly!!!!!

Perhaps the most normal tasting dish amongst the rest, Thai Basil Pork rice.

Mou loves his Curry Baked Rice so much that he can't keep his mouth shut LoLX!

The pasta used for this dish is very very special! the noodle is a lot thicker than usual size 3 spaghetti, and it is hollow! Kinda gives you a very nice texture as you munch into it^^

Mou trying to prove a point that the pasta is indeed hollow~ LoLXxx

In the end, Mou just did not have enough of the Chunky Mushroom Soup and ordered another serving. this time, he added Garlic Bread too! Wooooootttt~~~ But it is really really delicious la, as i said earlier, this is the most most most must try dish over there!

Last but not least, when you come to Tiramisu Hero, you must obviously try their Tiramisu! It comes with different size jars for different portions. We tried the Matcha and Original Tiramisu =D~~

Its pretty nice! Just that, if you prefer a heavier coffee/kahlua tasting Tiramisu, then maybe this won't be to your liking. Its slightly light and won't make you feel very "queezy" after consuming 2 jars of it.

Hmmm.. Yvonne was telling us that this is some kinda algae? That is pretty popular nowadays?? Apparently you can store it like that and take it out to clean once in a while, and and and and... apparently.. it can grow up to the size of a basketball?!!?! ahaha, maybe i should buy one and put at home lolx.

And yeap~ You can't really leave Tiramisu Hero without taking a photo with their Mascot! .. or rather.. in their Mascot! =X

Overall, this is a pretty nice cafe to hang out with friends^^
