Canele Macarons and Chalk Farm Cupcakes!

The Macaron and Cupcake craze has been ongoing since forever~ and i am here not to share about the latest and most delicious cupcake that i've tried. Instead, i am actually posting this to brag about the latest surprise i gave to wifey! =X

These are perhaps one of the better Macarons out there right now that you can get, Canele! They have 3 outlets currently, located at Shaw Lido, Raffles City and Paragon. I seriously don't know you need to have 3 outlets within 1 Orchard Road... But oh well.. its the Macarons that matters =X

I kinda regretted not taking a close up shot of the Macarons.. T_T But its too late.. ALL of these Macarons have already ended up in our stomachs.. Yes.. ALL 12 of them! wooohooooo!! It's about $24 per 12 pc box, which i think its priced pretty decently.

Anyways, the top most recommended flavour that we would highly recommend is the Salted Caramel (Salted Caramel seems to go nicely with almost any kind of dessert)! Followed by the Yuzu Yogurt and Chocolate Noir! Wifey's sister recommended the Cookies & Cream flavour, but wasted.. its sold out already by the time i got there.

If you love Macarons, you have to try Canele!

These Cupcakes were bought from Chalk Farm, located at Paragon Shopping Centre. Yep, i bought my Canele Macarons from Paragon too.

At first i didn't really know what is this Chalk Farm all about and decided to give google them first before deciding whether their cupcakes are worth trying.

It turns out that their reviews over the net is quite strong! I bought 3 flavours in total - Red Velvet, Salted Caramel and London Fog.

The top left Cupcake is the Salted Caramel, which the one on the right is the Red Velvet Cupcake! This 2 flavours is a must try!!! My wife and I felt that they taste better than those at Twelve Cupcakes! The quality of the Cupcakes in terms of its taste and texture is better than Twelve Cupcakes. Probably the only bad thing is that their selection is very very limited, because they do not specialise solely on Cupcakes.

The last Cupcake at the bottom, is the London Fog Cupcake. It is a Earl Grey flavoured Cupcake, which is actually pretty good~ Just that... my wife and I can't really take those "tea~ flowery~" taste in cakes and desserts. Else if you do, then i am sure you will love this!
