Malaysian Cuisine in Singapore?!

My wife and i were absolutely delighted when we heard that there are Malaysian 'Cuisine' in Singapore! My wife and I like Malaysian food a lot~ Stuff like "Lok Lok", Abalone Noodles, Bak Kut Teh (M'sia style, herbal with scallops in a claypot!) etc. and most of these lovely food can be found in Jurong Point - Malaysia Boleh^^

It was very packed when we arrived at Malaysia Boleh. The longest queueing dish would probably be the Penang Char Kuay Teow. Because the cook would only cook 5-6 servings each time, and each batch would take like 10mins? So ya... it is pretty time consuming just to wait for ur turn.

It isn't tooooo baddd... but kinda disappointing actually. I still pretty much preferred the one at Genting, located at the bus interchange. It can be more flavourful, more saltish and a little more spicy for my taste. I was expecting more after queueing for so long (well.. at least it was @omupie who helped me queue haha).

Now this dish is a little more up to my expectation. The Malaysian style prawn noodle! My wife and I have been looking for this particular dish for quite some time, and only managed to find it near boon keng and anchorvale area. This dish at Malaysia Boleh is pretty decent, and the queue isn't too long for this^^

Another recommended dish to try would be the Claypot Chicken Rice. Not bad!

The Bak Kut Teh over there is definitely not as tasty as the one we had at JB, Taman Sentosa. But i really half suspect that it is because of the overwhelming crowd, that the cooks had to expedite their cooking in batches that caused the dip in quality.

This dish is pretty good~ Cuttlefish with Kang Kong ! The sweet sauce and all that is proportioned nicely, perhaps one of the cheaper and nicer dishes over there too!

This is a MUST TRY at Malaysia Boleh. The 'authentic' Chendol!!!!! it only cost $2 and oh my... it's so so so gooooodddd~ The Gula Melaka is so delicious! I would probably go back just for this particular dish hee~^^

Well, overall, Malaysia Boleh is a pretty nice place to go for dinner if you happen to be near the west side of Singapore. But bear in mind that the food there ain't exactly cheap! It is approximately $5 per dish (and that is the small portion) and can go up to $6 - $7!!

If you havn't tried the food there, do give it a try^^
